Ok so it's been a little while since I last wrote. No excuses, I've just been having way too much fun to write... I wish...

As you can see from the photo, I got a fat lip. How did I manage to do this? Well, I've been running tours on trucks. This is Magaly (click here for a photo of the big yellow truck), the truck I am working on at the moment. This is Alex, the chofer. Chofer is spanish for driver, I reckon it sounds cooler than driver (click here for a photo of el chofer).

Anyway the truck has two sections, a front section for the chofer and I, and a back section where the passengers sit. There is a little hatch (click here for a photo of the hatch of death), that connects the front to the back, so I can crawl through to the back and talk to the passengers, play the good tour leader and tell them what's going on. Stuff like that. Then when I am done I crawl back through to the front. In theory this is a great idea, in practice it's not so great. The main problem is the hatch is small, and I am big. The second is that it's a little dangerous, like if I am crawling through and the chofer hits the brakes. Well as the laws of physics dictate, my forward momentum continues while the truck's doesn't. This has lead to me almost plastered to the windscreen of the truck on occasion, mildly amusing afterwards, but a little scary at the time.

So this time I was crawling through the hatch after chatting with the passengers in the back, when Alex thought he saw a unicorn, and hit the brakes. I went flying with a little more force than usual and kissed the dashboard... The result as you can see has only made me look all the more handsome.

This all happened about two hours or so north of Lima, I had to wait another 8 or so hours until we reached our destination before I could get a doctor to sew me up (click for a piture of me crying). I got three stitches! And a tiny little scar, I was hoping for something a little more piratical to be honest.
